Say hello to Matthew, a UX Designer dedicated to crafting seamless interactions and scalable design systems.     

Matthew Scott Hernandez is a UX Engineer and Product Designer based in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. As of December 2024, he earned his Bachelors in Experience Architecture and a Minor in Computer Science Engineering. Matthew is an incoming Experience Designer @ U.S. Bank.

During his time at MSU, Matthew contributed to the Evidence-Driven Learning Innovation Lab, researching the impact of Generative AI in Higher Education. He developed internal tools using R and Python to support researchers in conducting large-scale data analysis. Additionally, he served as a Digital Accessibility Analyst at MSUIT for three years, where he audited web applications for accessibility compliance and led campus-wide workshops to educate faculty and students on the importance of digital accessibility (A11Y).

 After work, you may find him planning out his next adventure at a cafe, eating Thai food (yum), or in New York City where he frequently spends time with his friends, searches for the coolest dining spots, and goes thrifting.
